The Casey Foundation 2008 Summer
Bursaries
The Casey Foundation has set aside summer
funding that is available to parents with children with
autism for use in any summer program throughout the province.
The amount of $14,850 has been allocated to
this summer program funding. Based on the cost associated
with the Autism Resource Centre summer programs ($275 per
week) The Casey Foundation has 54 weeks of funding available.
Each child is ensured $275 and can apply to have a second
week of funding should there be less than 54 applicants.
The second week of funding for children that have applied
will be on a first come first served basis.
We will be able to ensure you of $275 funding
immediately upon receiving your application but will not
be able to disburse those funds until a receipt is shown.
If a second week is requested on your application you will
be informed of this further funding after April 30,2008.
Applicants will receive additional funding (greater than
$275) determined by the date your application was received.
Please apply as early as possible.
To access this funding parents should submit
an application to The Casey Foundation. The application
is available on line under the "funding" tab.
Funding will be on a first come first served basis (with
completed application and receipt). Parents are paid directly
from The Casey Foundation. Funds from The Casey Foundation
are not paid to ARC or any other agency. Therefore parents
need to provide a receipt showing that they have paid ARC
or another agency for summer programming and then The Casey
Foundation will reimburse the family directly.
