The Casey Foundation would like to extend a huge thank you to
all those that supported the fundraising events in the month of
April. April is International Autism Awareness Month and we feel
we accomplished our goals of raising more awareness to the public
and also raising the much needed finances for us to help families
challenged by autism. This year we are able to offer $8600 in
summer camp bursaries to families throughout Saskatchewan because
of your generosity.
Thank you to all the businesses in Regina, Saskatoon and Moose
Jaw that supported our "A Magically Delicious Evening"
with items for our silent auction fundraiser March 31st, 2007.
"A Magically Delicious Evening" combined the magic and
illusion of Mr. Chester McBain with a silent auction and an awesome
dessert buffet prepared by the Conexus Arts Center staff. We would
also like to thank all the 300 guests that came out and supported
that event and helped us raise the required funding to help with
"Enriching the Lives of Children with Autism."
The 2nd fundraising event in the month of April was "An Evening
with Valdy and Friends." The Casey Foundation would like
to express a very special thank you to Wayne and Jeanne Tetlock
for all their hard work to make this event a success. The patrons
of this event were treated to the musical entertainment of "The
Prairie Dogs", Grant Bastedo, Jack Semple and Valdy at a
standing room only venue on Sunday April 22nd, 2007 in Regina.
A the end of the evening, both Jack Semple and Valdy announced
they would come back and do another benefit concert for The Casey
Foundation. Watch for details of this upcoming event to be posted
on our website.
For next years Autism Awareness Month in April, The Casey Foundation
would like to announce that we will be hosting the RCMP Charity
Ball. The RCMP Charity Ball, held at the RCMP Training Academy
in Regina, has a long history as a huge fundraiser for the charity
hosting the event. Watch for more details on our website as this
event draws closer.
Thank you Saskatchewan for supporting the efforts of The Casey
Foundation in "Enriching the Lives of Children with Autism."
